Great writing doesn’t happen overnight.

It all started when…

In undergrad I remember doing this marketing research project and receiving the second highest (by a pinch) grade in the class. When my professor handed my work back with a glaring 98% stamped on the front with it he commented, “you’re just a great writer”. I had been writing “seriously” since I was nine, but that stuck out to me. This was because it was one of my final courses toward my degree and I remembered thinking, “let me just write a compelling discovery and let that work for me.” While in college, I also freelanced for a start up called The Aberration headed by a couple buddies and me. My job was to interview underground artists and write accompanying articles that illuminated their craft — for free. I absolutely loved it, and received consistently positive reviews. That free work at a start up turned into a hustle where I started to acquire clients from business students to small business owners. Now I am here.
